The LGBTQ+ drama, After Forever, totaled a fanbase of about 33K eyes when their latest episode dropped this week.
The Emmy winning series is back for another season packed full of love, laughter and life lessons. This week, an argument breaks at dinner, threatening the future of Brian's relationship. Brian is played by Kevin Spirtas, known from long-running soap - Days of our Lives, wearing multiple hats as the co-creator behind the successful hit too. His late partner, Michael Slade, once said, “We as gay men, after we’re no longer 35, tend to disappear from popular culture.” The writing process was cathartic for Slade, whose partner, Richard, died of cancer ahead of him.
Michael believed After Forever changes the way older gay men are portrayed through characters who embark on relatable adventures in life and in love.
Season 3 has been green-lit with release dates to be announced. Loss is a topic rarely told through a queer lens, but when crafted and executed honestly, it has the power to broaden our perspectives.
