Birthdays are always a special occasion, and this year, Brandon Studios founder and CEO, Brandon Stewart, celebrated on multiple nights, spanning a variety of events, while serving looks along the way.
The festivities kicked off on a Friday evening, with a purple suit ensemble that set the tone for a memorable weekend.
The first night was an exclusive gathering with the team from his studio. Monique Martin, a dear friend and star on The Getaway Los Angeles (TGLA), stopped by early to help with his hair, ensuring Stewart looked his best for the night ahead. TGLA follows a group of friends who are looking to build their professional endeavors. The core of the group consists of transplants from across the nation, that include Stewart and Martin, moving to Los Angeles to pursue a better life - not only in their careers but in their personal lives too.
To start his birthday weekend celebrations, he was fitted in a striking purple suit, Stewart headed to an upscale dinner on a rooftop in LA. According to his boyfriend, Justin Byrd, the intimate evening included eight of his closest friends and colleagues, creating an elegant and relaxed atmosphere.
Despite the calm evening, Stewart has much going on, hosting a new late night talk show, and running the fastest growing reality TV streaming service—Brandon TV. Recently, his studio just launched the premiere of The Dolls starring Dianna Williams. The series has become a viral conversation online, following the reunion special titled Dianna that brought back all of the OGs from Lifetime's series Bring It.
According to other sources close to Stewart, Saturday night was the complete opposite—a night of revelry in West Hollywood. The guest list grew significantly, featuring familiar faces from TGLA like his boyfriend Byrd, his business partner Joel Parent, Cliff Watson, and Reyna Morales, a new cast member from TGLA appearing later in Season 1. Brianna Stewart, known from BTV’s Sister Rules, was also in attendance, along with many new additions to the network like HBO's Legendary Calypso, American Idol's Nastachia, and many more.
After the whirlwind of Saturday night, Sunday provided a much-needed respite, as Stewart spent the day at home, relaxing with a few close friends.
Byrd told us that "he rarely gets down time." It seemed the couple kept things low-key, enjoying each other's company, after making reservations to a local brazilian steakhouse for an early dinner.
By Monday, it was back to work, but the celebrations weren't entirely over. His good friend and TGLA co-star, Kasi Holifield, stopped by, adding a touch of warmth to the day. And by the late afternoon, he was back on camera with co-star Matt Sarafa, where the two made big announcements ahead of the first season's return—which is promised to emerge this Summer.
Stewart was known to be the nucleus of the friend group in the first season, but a garaunteed cast shake up, and a new show-runner being announced, shows the direction of the series could be changed for good. And it seems for the better.
Heading into the new season, additions to the producing team include: Quentin T. Harris, Lisa McGilvray, and Michelle Blosser.
