This is long lol.
This month went by so fast, but I enjoyed every minute of it. My mother, sister, and niece flew out to visit me from New Jersey. They hit the ground running when they came. They went all over and we ate so much food!
I brought them to a reunion I had with some old coworkers. We had a field day, which turned into a picnic and gossip session (fine by me). I also got to spend some much needed time with my sister and introduce her to some friends.
Since my mom was here, we had Thanksgiving a bit early. It has been soooooo long since I've had my mom's cooking. When I tell you actual tears fell from my eyes. Whew! My mom is the best cook in the world hands down! We also ended up decorating for Christmas early.
My family was flying straight to St. Thomas to be with my mom's side for Thanksgiving. So they wanted to have some Christmas time together. Demetre and I were having a field day. We bought so many new decorations and made our place so festive!! Our place is so nice.
But with all the fun, there was some drama. My niece fell and hit her head and we had to rush to the hospital to get her stitches. The hospital was an absolute mess.
We ran through 5 different buildings just to get to the ER. They could at least had some golf carts to escort us.
But, she is fine and back to being her crazy self. I had a few stitches when I was her age as well. LMAO guess it runs in the family.
Thanksgiving was a beast all on its own. Demetre ended up staying for Thanksgiving, which was great for me.
We went to my friend Sarai's house. I DID NOT KNOW SHE COULD COOK LIKE THAT! Oh my gosh. I was in heaven!!!!! Plus I made some coquito, so the vibe was RIGHT!
Love that girl.
Some good news for me: I recently joined our friend's production team. Last week we shot a music video. Although I have helped them out before, this will be my first time getting credit for it! I'm so excited.
COVID has sucked this year, but I am grateful for all of the new opportunities that have come my way. And those that I have made for myself.
The Good Food Gurus officially launched our website!
I am so beyond happy to start this new chapter with our brand. Demetre and I have so many fun ideas that we cannot wait to share with everyone.
We also recently got hired to take some pics for Melody, a restaurant by LAX. FOOD WAS SO GOOD! (Do I talk about food a lot? lol)
The Good Food Gurus have A LOT of new fun things coming up! Demetre and I have been working our butts off. But, I think I'll save that for the next post. Until then, make sure you're keeping up with us on IG and our website!
Love you guys,
