The former cast from Bring It is set to reunite on Brandon TV's new streaming app in a show about Dianna Williams' comeback to television.
The rhythm of dance is not just about movements, it's also about the stories behind the steps. And for fans of the former hit reality show Bring It, those stories often revolved around the families tied to the talented young girls on the dance floor. Those young girls were part of a fierce elite majorette dance team called DD4L, also referred to as the Dancing Dolls.
The Dancing Dolls' OG cast include: Selena Johnson, Tina Jones, Dianna Williams, and Mimi Harris who have already been announced to return together. The network has not announced 5th and final OG cast member, Rittany Anderson, but did make a post today that alluded to the fact that she may be involved.
The 3-part special is called Dianna and will take on heavy topics from their explosive past, including feuds on and off camera.
Bring It captured hearts of millions with its high-energy dance battles, led by the indomitable Coach Dianna Williams. However, it was the dynamic personalities of the Dancing Dolls' moms that added depth and drama to the show. Selena, Tina, Rittany and Mimi became fan favorites for their unwavering support, fierce loyalty, and occasional clashes on television.
Selena Johnson, known for her outspoken nature and relentless dedication to her daughter Sunjai, brought an unapologetic energy to every episode. Though fans classified her as the pretty face in earlier seasons, she came into her own unafraid to storm into the dance room and ask exactly why her daughter "didn't make cuts!" Her determination to see her daughter succeed resonated with viewers, making her one of the most memorable characters on the show.
Tina Jones, mother to Dancing Dolls star Kayla, brought a fiery personality to the forefront of the Bring It franchise. Her quick wit and no-nonsense attitude made her a beloved character, while her unwavering love for her daughter endeared her to audiences worldwide. But let's be honest, we all were waiting to see Tina snatch off her wig and get ready to throw down with some of the laddies - Selena to be exact.
Mimi Harris brought a unique blend of humor and heart to the show. Her loyalty to the Dancing Dolls, mixed with her deep love for her daughter, Camryn, added a layer of authenticity the show needed. Her willingness to speak her mind and stand up for what she believed in made her a mama bear force to be reckoned with. Especially standing at 4 foot nothing, weighing in at a hallow size of not a lot. You can't help but love the little firecracker.
Rittany Anderson, known most recently for her viral fight with Dianna herself, was always at the epicenter of some kind of drama. She is the aunt of Crystianna, and found herself in some of the biggest feuds near the end of the franchise. Like the other women, she holds nothing back, but at the end, her opinion put her in the line of fire from fans, when she called Dianna out for being "jealous of these kids" and running away to Atlanta. Other accusations about Dianna's character also set the tone for their friendship in the future - which looks to have ended. However, Rittany has been promoting Dianna's new show and the two of them still follow each other. So fans are hopeful they rekindle their relationship and talk through what severed their friendship in the first place.
After the show's premiere went viral across the globe, so much so that it even crashed the BTV streaming app, now fans can look forward to even more stars returning for the next episode. As the moms reunite with Coach D and navigate the challenges of competitive dance, viewers can expect nostalgia, laughter, tears, and plenty of unforgettable moments.
For Selena, Tina, and Mimi, returning to the spotlight, that means reliving old memories. All while we decipher if Rittany will be coming back or not. Their journey on Dianna is sure to entertain us, reminding us all that with passion, determination, and a little bit of sass, anything is possible.
So, get ready to lace up your dancing shoes and join the Dancing Dolls once again, as these former parents take center stage once again. Catch episode two airing on Sunday, March 31.
Plus, gear up for the revamped Dancing Dolls series following the 3-part special, coming this summer on BTV.
