The holidays are here and for once I'm not in a funk.
Usually I am feeling down, waiting for the holidays to be over with. I think that's because I lost 2 of my favorite uncles around this time. 1 of my uncles passed 19 years ago December 18th and my other uncle almost 4 years ago December 11th.
I guess you can say I still have not dealt with their losses.
Glad I have my brothers Brandon and Joel to spend time with during these hard times.
We met up for a little shopping.. WELL! It was lunch, but who could resist picking up some bargains at Forever 21? LOL!! I eneded up buying my son 2 cozy sweaters. They were meant to be Christmas gifts, but of course I came right home, put them on hangers in the hallway and was like, "Oh, look what I got you!" 🤦🏽♀️🤣
Our afternoon turned into a whole evening per usual. We can never have a 2 hour catch up. LOL!! But I love these guys, laughing, eating and drinks of course.
Thanksgiving has approached and passed. I went to see my daughter, where she had a full on photo shoot going once I arrived!
Its always great popping in and experiencing this pregnancy alongside her. I can't wait to meet the baby. And don't forget about my son. He is the absolute best, he keeps me going when I want to yell at the world. You will forever hear me speaking on these 2! They are the reason I am who I am. The loves of my life!!
Back to Thanksgiving... I love to cook. I woke up at 4am to work on my turkey. I had it marinating overnight in the oven. I did a couple of plate drop offs, which is my favorite part of the day. When I know people didn't cook and were planning on eating at a fast food spot... I can't let that happen hunnie.
I spent most of the day across the street at my moms house drinking mimosas. 🍾 Overall, it was a simple, quiet evening just the way I like it.
Our Christmas #getaway is coming up and I really don't know how this is going to go. With this pandemic, the governor keeps putting us on punishment! To be completely honest... I really don't feel like meeting new people with these Covid cases rising. I mean hell, I don't like meeting new people at all... 🤦🏽♀️
