Donald Trump has officially been elected as the 47th President of the United States, marking his return to the White House for a historic second term. As news of his victory spread, Hollywood wasted no time in reacting across social media. From expressions of shock and dismay to posts of celebration and support, celebrities and influencers across the spectrum weighed in, making it clear that Trump’s win has once again sparked intense debate within the entertainment world. See below for the different reactions.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Oscar-winning actress, shared her thoughts via a lengthy and insightful Instagram post.

“Many will be celebrating, possibly even gloating over their victory. Many will be stunned and sad with the terrible feelings of the loss. That is the same result despite who wins because that’s what America and democracy looks like. Has always looked like,” she explained

Rapper Cardi B, who strongly supported Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign and appeared at a recent rally kept it short and sweet, writing, “I hate ya’ll bad” in her Instagram Stories.

Podcaster and Trump-endorser Joe Rogan posted a video of Trump’s victory celebration with a simple, “Whole. Lee. S–t,” while laughing can be heard in the background.

Actress Christina Applegate did not hold back on X, typing out, “Why? Give me your reasons why????? My child is sobbing because her rights as a woman may be taken away. Why? And if you disagree, please unfollow me."

Brittany Aldean, a vocal Trump supporter alongside her husband Jason Aldean, shared a photo of herself watching Fox News on Wednesday, captioning it, "Feels like Christmas morning."

Actresses Hilary Duff and Jessica Alba, model Kendall Jenner, Reality TV Star Laganga Estranga, and former Dance Moms star, Kalani Hilliker, among others, all shared and/or liked a message celebrating women as the "heartbeat of progress," adding, "You are seen, valued, and unstoppable. Your strength and prowess are changing the world."

Singer and actress Ariana Grande posted on Instagram that she is “holding the hand of every person who is feeling the immeasurable heaviness of this outcome today.”

Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, exclaimed in a "knee jerk reaction" video the Harris campaign's "pure arrogance and their moral superiority" drove voters away and that Democrats spent the campaign "acting like you're better than us, smarter than us, and, frankly, insulting our intelligence."

Highly anticipated reactions from Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga have yet to surface, as the A-List stars who supported Kamala Harris have not publicly commented on the news.
