Ricky Rebel, Grammy member and Billboard Top 40 Recording Artist, reminisces about his run-ins with Pop Princess Britney Spears back in the 2000's on the celebrity talk show Obsessed, with Brandon Stewart.
During the "Hard Topics" segment, sponsored by Front Page Pop, Rebel was asked by host Brandon Stewart what he and Britney's relationship is today (knowing they worked together in the past) and his thoughts on her situation post-conservatorship and post-divorce.
He started by sharing what many of his fans already knew: that he and his former boy band No Authority opened up for her on her Oops I Did It Again Tour in 2000 and that was the last time they spoke in person. However, Spears did attend one of his solo shows.
"She did come to my show, but we didn't talk. She had left before the show was over," he mentioned.
Rebel continued, "she's a very sweet girl, very human, very kind...a little too nice."
"I thought that the industry was going to eat her like a shark, which ultimately ended up happening....it wasn't the industry that ate her alive it was the people who supposedly loved her most...," he confessed, reflecting on his first impression of Spears.
Ricky even shared with Stewart that while on tour, he had posters of her hanging up on his tour bus and had a huge crush on her.
