Shine will sing another song for BTV after the studio renewed the independent artist contest for a third season.
The series follows a select group of undiscovered artists who must learn to write their own lyrics, find their own voice and make their own music while competing for the title as the best independent phenomenon. They are only permitted to use their own songs in their battle for the spotlight.
Also returning are judges, Ashthon Jones, 2'Live Bre and Brandon Stewart. There will also be Grammy-Winning mentors joining the panelists chalking up to be another hit online phenomenon.
The news comes during the COVID-19 shutdown and a presidential election on the horizon. Shine is produced by BTV Digital Studios. Executive producers include Brandon Stewart, who also serves as showrunner, and Derek Williams, with Joel Parent and Melanie Stewart serving as producers. BTV distributes the series worldwide.
Last season's winner, Dakota Hayden, will sign with new affiliate management company, Melanie Management, ran by producing partner, Melanie Stewart, that will launch following the COVID-19 shutdown in 2021. Also highlighted to sign is first season winner, Emmy Bodner, second place contender from season two, Tatum Burns and more Shine favorites.
“We are so grateful to our fans for sticking with us and helping us grow to No. 1 in America. We hope our show can continue to entertain and inspire even during the hardest of times. We are thrilled to be able to welcome Ashthon and Bre back to the panel with Brandon, to help us work together again to discover our next underground superstar,” said producer, Joel Parent. "It really is a special formula and we're just happy viewers appreciate the power of music as much as we do."
The audition tour has already taken place, but producers encourage new hopefuls to submit their auditions online. You can submit here.
